Macdonald calls for action not words on 50m pool
05 November 2009
Aberdeen Central Labour MSP Lewis Macdonald has today stepped into the row on the Scottish Government's promise of £5 million towards a new 50m pool proposed for his constituency.
Mr Macdonald who is in receipt of Freedom of Information request on the pool has discovered that Aberdeen City Council has not yet made a detailed Stage Two application to SportScotland on the project and as such no money has been formally committed.
Lewis Macdonald said:
"As on so many issues, SNP ministers have promised they will provide financial support, but we are still waiting for those words to be matched by actions."
